Once you’ve chosen your theme you are probably going to want to change it here or there. May be the font isn’t to your liking, or the colours needs to be changed slightly. As you go on you might want to re-style a particular element, or add some more space between elements.

One of the first tasks after installing your new WordPress site is to choose the theme that you are going to use. At least at first, it’s worth looking at the default theme, Twenty Eleven, to get a feel for what is available in terms of capabilities. Once you are familiar with themes in general is now time to select what theme you are going to use on your site.

Starting with WordPress you are at once impressed by the “5-minute install’s” simplicity, and intimidated by the multitude of plug-ins, themes, and documentation available on the WordPress.Org site and via Google.
I’m intending to post things that I’ve found useful whilst developing this site, both initially, and on an ongoing basis. It will be simple stuff only, strictly at a beginner’s level, there will be nothing complicated at this stage I can guarantee.
